Wedding Officiant

PHOTOGRAPHER: SIDNEY BISCHER

Rabbi Karyn D. Kedar is a compassionate and creative wedding officiant renowned for her thoughtful approach to crafting unique and meaningful ceremonies.

She meets with couples before the ceremony to foster engaging conversations about their shared life and to establish a personal connection.

This collaborative process allows her to design ceremonies that reflect the couple’s values, stories, and aspirations.

With sensitivity and insight, she weaves personal elements and spiritual significance into the ceremony, creating a profoundly memorable experience for the couple and their loved ones.

  • “I've been to several Rabbi Kedar weddings, including my own, and each one has been uniquely magical. Our ceremony was filled with meaningful details that truly reflected what my husband and I value most in life. She took the time to understand what was in our hearts before the wedding and crafted a ceremony that perfectly captured who we are. To this day, people still tell us how beautiful our ceremony was, and it's our favorite memory to look back on.”

Q&A with Wedding Couples

Where are you available?

By arrangement, I will travel both within the USA and internationally. You will be responsible for my travel and accommodation expenses.

What are your fees to be our wedding officiant?

We’ll discuss how I will personalize your ceremony, and I will take into account my travel time from Illinois.
As a guide, my services typically range from $1500 - $2500.

Do you officiate interfaith or humanist ceremonies?

Yes, in some cases. I’m happy to get acquainted with you and discuss your plans.

  • “Rabbi Kedar carved out time and space for the sacred in an otherwise busy and overwhelming day. Our ketubah signing was one of the most peaceful, meaningful moments of my life. Our ceremony was candlelit and tranquil; Rabbi Kedar elevated it from the serene to the truly moving, heartfelt, and holy. We still get comments all the time from friends & family about how beautiful her ceremony was!”
